As we wrap up Semester 1, I want to sincerely thank the students, staff and wider community for such a warm welcome in my first term as Principal of Ormiston State School.

It’s been a strong and purposeful start to our shared journey. Together, we’ve taken clear and confident steps towards implementing our school’s strategic direction for the next four years. This work doesn’t happen without the daily efforts of our dedicated staff, the curiosity and enthusiasm of our students, and the strong relationships we continue to build across our school community.

There’s still plenty to do, but I’m genuinely proud of what we’ve achieved so far and excited for what’s ahead.

I would also like to announce the official appointment of Mrs Sally Carmichael to the role of Deputy Principal Prep – 2. Mrs Carmichael recently went through a recruitment and selection process for this Acting role and was the most meritorious candidate. She joins the great leadership team  I have who together are working with the dedicated and skilled staff in this school.

Thanks again for making Ormiston such a great place to lead and to learn.
